I took Lia early in her season as we were travelling to a very special boy as I wanted to keep a pup from the last litter and OMG the enjoyment I have from her and all my girls words cannot describe.
We found this amazing boy from the Caech Rebublic, as I know my girl well we left earlier than normal but two days of travel with an average of 16 hours of driving meant I could settle her down and work at the same time, the evening we arrived we went to visit Argo, we could not find his house but then a we saw an Entlebucher and we drove alongside, and Hana his mum told us where to go, we pulled up into the drive, with low expectations but Argo said different, Lia went for a comfort break and then two minutes later they married.
Second day the same and then we returned home taking a little more time to enjoy the Czech and Germany.
On the 23 day scan we were told no pups as we went too early, but come back next week to find out my lovely girl had at least 4 pups.
On my birthday hubby took me out and announced he actaully wanted to keep a girl as Billy his dog was getting old which was a bit of a shock, I agreed as I had got two girls and one aka Lia was his birthday

During this pregnancy, we just could not give Lia enough food and could not understand why, on the day the first pup came along, then a second, we get to five and think we are done but Lia tells me we are not done, number 6 comes out, then 7 and 8, this is a big litter for Entlebuchers in the UK. Lia feeds her her pups then comes to me for a rest whilst No.1 Emma does her hair, nails and puts on her makeup on, to then arrive into the world which was a pleasent shock to mum and us all!
Lia is a womderful dedicated mum but with 9 puppies it does take it's toll so we weaned them early to take the pressure off even though at week 3 she asked for another litter and I told her enough was enough.

I had chosed the pick of the litter by now for Steve but around week 6 he just could nt quite take to her, week 8 and not all the litter had found their forever homes and Steve preferred another girl so in the end we kept 2 girls, and 'the chosen one' became mine'!
They are amazing, helped us through our dear Billy passsing over the rainbow, he had a great life, we had amazing vets to guide us.
All pups left and then we were dealing with a new pack which is not easy, the pups are great and the pack has now settled into their own pecking order, they are very good as they entertain themselves which is always useful but inconvent wheen on calls :-)
